City was a yo-yo club it’s history was getting promoted to the first division then going back down.

PSG doesn’t have any real history as it’s not even 50 years old and was never a power until it’s owners came around.

Come on man, you know City’s history is more than that. We won plenty of trophies early in the club’s existence, but yeah for most people probably alive today City spent more time out of the top division than in it and struggled in terms of success. But to say there is ‘no history at all’ is just ridiculous.

PSG are a newer club, yes, but they were a force in the 90’s and early 2000’s and have attracted high profile players for years now. Not nearly the talent they have today, but still relevant in world soccer.
I mean shite, they had George Weah in their books when he won the ballon d’Or.

This is one of those scandals that is so obvious that it isn’t even a scandal. Everyone knew that Man City and PSG were in violation of FFP. Johnny Baby gave them very soft fines but the only thing that’s really new in the leaks is how little they were officially fined. Now teams know they can spend 30 million in lawyers, act hard and get a 20 million euro fine.

Everyone knew our Etihad naming deal, which was what originally caused all of the FFP discussion, was completely ridiculous when it was announced. But now the 10-year, £400 mil deal is very reasonably in line when compared to United’s 7-year, £559 mil contract with Chevy. And that is for shirt only, the Etihad money is for top and stadium. Leicester’s late owner literally did the exact same thing with their shirts and the King Power stadium. But because they didn’t spend nearly as much as City in the transfer market and don’t have a cross town rival like United, nobody ever cries about their shady doings.

No City fan can sit here and say that the beginning of the decade wasn’t shady as shite in terms of how the club did it’s accounting. But that has all changed and the club is very healthy financially.

Almost all of the whining comes from supporters of other big clubs across Europe. Your Barca, Real, Juventus, United, Arsenal, Liverpool supporter’s all cry foul when City’s financials are questioned, or the owners are mentioned. It’s the old club not wanting a so-called ‘yo-yo club’ threatening their share of the world market. City aren’t supposed to be as big and as good as they are and so they’ll whine non-stop at any chance they can get.

Cup Winners Cup winners in 1996 and won 17 trophies in the 40 years before QSI. That’s a lot better than most clubs in Europe.

Regardless bashing PSG for being a young club is mind numbingly stupid.
