No. Belichick is a once in a lifetime coach. This is the same guy whose defensive gameplan is in the HOF and went 3-0 against Montana’s 49ers in the playoffs allowing only 6.3 PPG against them. And I put as much stock in his Browns record as I do Saban’s record at Michigan State. It was so much more difficult to turn around bad small market teams in the pre-salary cap era than it is today. He did a good job there all things considered.

Wait, so is Brady the GOAT, or is Belichik the GOAT? Many people will argue until they're red in the fact that Brady is the best quarterback of all time. But if Brady's coach is the best coach of all time, it stands to reason that much of Brady's success has been due to executing (very well) a superior gameplay.

You will not find a Packer fan that tries to put Fat Mike in the top 100 NFL coaches of all time. Rodgers has been great despite him.

One need only look at Belichik's record without Brady and Fat Mike's record without Rodgers.

Pulled this from a DaveSims11 post I found on Reddit...it's from 11 months ago, so I'm guessing McCarthy's record is actually worse than this.

The Results:
Bill Belichick (14-6)
Andy Reid (17-18)
Mike Tomlin (7-7)
Mike McCarthy (3-8-1)
Sean Payton (0-1)
