Last night, I received a message from a friend. He has recently been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer(maybe 3-5 years to live if he's very lucky). He just informed his teenage son yesterday. Both are huge LSU fans. I'm in the process(with other many good friends) to locate tickets for them both. On Monday, November 5th, he will be at M D Anderson in hopes to cure this through chemotherapy(very slim chance). He wouldn't say, but I think it is way worse than he wants me to know. Very proud man and the best dad to his son. He doesn't know about the possible tickets we are buying for them. If you've ever heard of someone or have had the misfortune to experience knowing someone with terminal cancer, please pray for this man. As fans, we are faced with the possibility of winning or losing a game in 6 days. Either way, we're the lucky ones.
Note: Really not trying to bring our fans down, just want to bring this into perspective. Life is short and this week, win or lose, are some of the best times of our lives.
Thanks

Very good reminder.
You are a good person for trying to make it memorable for him and his son

Youre message is correct, at the end of the day this is just a game. Prayers for your friend and his family

My uncle passed away from the same thing. Took the disease 5 years to take him down. You really would not have known he was sick until the last 6 months. Scary how fast he went downhill. Prayers for your friend

I'm sorry for your friend. I have it too. Originally they didn't give me that long. I'm hoping that mine is operable. I wish I had some advice. Chemo steals your humanity but it also extends your life. I wouldn't put the suffering that I've experienced on my worst enemy. I hate it the most for my wife who has to deal with this stuff every day. Tigerdroppings.com has always been an outlet for me and never more so than now. Some days I can't get out of bed. Some days too sick to post. I'm praying for your friend. Pancreatic cancer is the worst killer.

Let me know if you can't find 2 by the end of the day. I may have 2 in 416.

Not at all bro. I have to admit Ben. I've felt since the Georgia win, we will be Bama. This is coming from a football realist. Being a homer is always fun, BUT, I've never had the notion to think win for any Bama game. Just enjoy it if it happens. I truly feel this will be one of LSU football's finest moments.

Really sorry to hear about your friend. Be prepared for the worst. Pancreatic Cancer killed my father 11 months after diagnosis, even with the Whipple surgery & chemo.
