Just wanted to start a thread with any helpful tips, tricks, or Easter eggs for this game so that they don’t get lost in the large thread.

You can find your hat if you lose it by going next to your horse, hitting item wheel, switching over to horse inventory and there's your hat.
You also can grab it at a wardrobe I wasted so much time looking for a hat I lost until I figured this out

The process for upgrades in your camp is pretty confusing because I don't think they did a good job explaining it.
Next to the donation box is the ledger. The first pages show who has donated, the next pages allow you to buy the upgrades. To get the map for fast travel from camp you have to upgrade Dutch's tent then yours... All together total I think it's like $500 to do so which you'll pretty much have to donate yourself.

How do I access the ammo tent and provisions? They both have a ! To them on map and look greyed out, nothing happens when I walk up to them

Things gray out frequently, usually when you're on a mission.

I can't even donate ammo this is what it looks like
I have plenty of ammo, I don't even get an option it's like it's not even there

Do I have to do it at the ledger?

That was it, it's done at the ledger at the bottom on the pages.
Was not explained and I thought bc I donate meat at Pearson's table it was the same for the others.
It's not, got it now though, this game has a lot of hidden mechanics

For anybody that likes going first person I figured out while aiming if you press down on the d pad you can aim down the sights.
Theres a burned out village/town southwest of the first campsite, Limpany. It has a 500 dollar gold bar in a lockbox. It's in the jail. You'll need the fence to sell it tho

The only thing you can donate are money and provisions.
The ammo and health stuff you gotta use the ledger and camp funds to order a restock.
Yeah I wouldn't call them hidden so much as not ever explained. This game has so many mechanics I guess it's impossible to explain everything. They have 5 hours of tutorial missions and it still doesn't touch everything.
I think they actually could have toned down on a few of the mechanics to be honest. There comes a point where there are so many you just sort of tune them all out. But as you play you learn which are important and deserve your attention.

The interaction menu is the biggest thing to get used to.
The hardest habit to break is remembering that left trigger doesn't immediately draw down unless your weapon is out. Remember that when that dirty Driscoll gang is coming down the hill to kill you.

You can just donate the whole bar to the camp and get the 500. It is what I did to get the fast travel map

A few more..
Switch ammunition types in the weapon wheel by selecting the weapon you want and pressing left and right on the D pad. I stick with Express for the most part.
Dont neglect the Micah missions in strawberry. He gives you a holster so you can dual wield and a Lancaster rifle.

Got that holster this morning, huge deal. Dual wield sawed off and revolver now

When you pull a gun on someone, you can press up on the D-pad and point the gun up in the air to fire a warning shot instead of going straight to sending someone to hell.
Sometimes, people need to go to hell, though. I encountered a woman trapped under a horse, helped her out, offered her a ride home, then didn't go fast enough so she started bitching then eventually jumped off the horse. Excuse me for saving your life and then not getting your uppity arse back to your glacially slow Western life fast enough, bitch!
I ran her down with my horse until she died. It seemed poetic given how I found her.

Can’t seem to find it. Which direction from Strawberry?

Yea I rescued that bitch from under the horse but then she wanted me to bring her home which was in the opposite direction I wanted to go, so I blew her face off with the shotgun.
