I’m guessing your giving Etling credit for a higher completion percentage?

I personally consider throwing the ball away a better trait than a QB that pats the ball until a player is wide open or he’s sacked. Not to mention the fact DE couldn’t/wouldn’t throw the ball over the middle.

Nice to have a DT that can actually throw the football, read defenses, go through progressions and effectively manage the Offense a la Tebow and Manziel.

Most DT's can't do all those well. (They're majority Glorified RB's)

Perhaps. Etling either was not allowed to or could not audible into a better play. Etling first 7 games were not as difficult as Burrow first 7. IMO we lose to Miami and Auburn with Etling as he would have taken 3 or 4 more sacks in each game. Next many of the big passing plays in each game were over the middle. Etling either could not or was not allowed to throw over the middle.

Anyway Etling is not close to Burrow.

I did not know LSU fans were saying Burrow and Etling the same. Brad Nessler said Burrow was Etling with a different number. Other national pundits have not had anything to say about Burrow.
