Also, just want to throw out that Nell’s message to her siblings in episode 10, after she woke them up and addressed them each in turn, “There’s no without. I’m not gone. I’m scattered into so many pieces, sprinkled on your life like new snow,” is just perfectly written. So much gravity and weight in such flowery, succinct language. I’m going to share it with my parents the next time I see them.

I’m not discrediting the writing here, but I felt like episode 10 went off the walls in terms of dialogue. It almost felt like a screenplay instead of natural speech.

No clue if it was trying to do this or what, but it really turned me off having to listen to ghost characters sound like they were reading a book every time they spoke.

When it comes to the finale of a story like this, when the characters and audience are given a chance to reflect on everything that has happened, I'm fine with a bit of melodrama and flowery language.

It reminds me of the "I hope" monologue at the end of The Shawshank Redemption. It doesn't sound like something that character would have said in normal conversation, but it sums up the theme of the movie well. I think that's what they were going for with episode 10. It worked for me.

Easily Netflix's best show. I really hope there isn't a season 2 with these characters because it wrapped up perfectly. The show's creator apparently agrees.
