I really don’t get the fascination with Elway. The dude was a dunce with the football compared to his greater peers...and the stats reflected it.

It was clear then. It is clear now.

Yet people have made him mythological

I told you why took 3 very so so teams to the Super Bowl, once he got a great RB the Broncos immediately won back to back titles and his supposed offensive guru HC never sniffed the same success for the rest of his career.

So if not Elway who gets the credit for the Broncos making 5 Super Bowls in that era? Dan Reeves?

Did you actually watch him play? Marino was great, one SB appearance. Elway had 5, in 2 different decades. Take Brady off the Patriots, how many rings does he have? Montana from the 49ers? Sometimes it isn't all about stats, sometimes. I also think Jim Kelly is lower than he should be on this person's list. Who cares, it's all subjective.
