After grad from LSU I moved to ATL.
I ordered jam at a restaurant here. When they put the red kind down I thought “what’s this stuff?”

Wasn’t until I got on this board that I knew red jam was a thing!

Around 2000 when every city had to open a “Cajun” restaurant because it was the craze I tried one in Atlanta. I ordered jambalaya and the waiter brought out this dish filled with carrots and meat. I asked him what the carrots were doing in jambalaya and he said “It’s our California Jambalaya”
I wanted to punch the chef.
