I will always recommend leveling your first character normally if only to give you time to really learn the class you choose to play. When you boost a character you immediately have to figure out the priorities of ALL of your skills right off the bat. It can be a bit much for a new player. Leveling a character slowly rolls out your skills and lets you get used to your core rotation and gives you adequate time to figure out your priorities and how the skills work off each other. Current content is kinda meh anyway. Enjoy the leveling experience.
