Mississippi State was in position to give LSU a scare on the road, but ultimately could not hang with the Tigers and their vast array of offensive weapons.

Mett was 25/29 for 340, OBJ with 9 catches 179 yards and 2 TD's, Hill had 16 rushes for 157 yards and 2 TD's, Hilliard had another 3 TD's.

Just wasn't a typcial LSU defense that year. Got into a shootout with UGA that was fun and frustrating to watch, laid a fat one to Ole Miss. Bama kicked our teeth in (who still blames all of that on Copeland? ), but we were an average defense away from 11-1 that year.
