YNAB
Mint
Personal Capital

People recommend them all depending on exactly what you're looking for. Mint is free and I think PC is as well. YNAB is not but isn't all that expensive. Try them and see which one you like best.

I've been using quicken for several years but lately it's been having a bunch of trouble downloading transactions from my capital one account. Are these other programs similar to quicken to where I can schedule all of my monthly bills and income and see running daily balances?

YNAB is simple, works, and isn't that much money. We use it and when we stick to it we can't argue with the results.

YNAB - highest possible recommendation.

Straightforward, user friendly - there are a lot of tools there, but you don't have to use them all to get a good, solid budget going.
