I owe y'all an update/ trip report after your suggestions and my trip completion

Myself and two buddies ended up flying in and out of Chicago O'hare for this trip. Little did I know that Milwaukee was only an hr 15 min drive from Ohare so we get into town by 12:15pm

We ended up staying at the Hyatt Place off Juneau ave right in the brewery district. I have to say that was a great location since it gave us a good starting point to explore the city and was within 5-15 min of all points we went to. This is the view looking up the street at the Pabst brewery

First up was the Pabst brewery and Jackson's. Jacksons was a brew pub set in the old Pabst brewery. One thing you'll realize in Wisconsin is every restaurant has cheese curds on the menu. We ended up getting an order and it was pretty good. Overall food was pretty good but we more just wanted to find a place to watch the syracuse clemson game...ugh

The beer also came in goblets

From there we wanted to keep the party going so we ended up at Lakefront brewery. The inside area was huge with a decent sized bar and a packed house. I think I got their IPA and one friend got the pumpkin ale or octoberfest, but they were both very good. We saw there was an outside area so we decided to try it despite it being about 50* . I could see it being nice during the summer

Next up we saw the brewers were in town so got tickets same day for $20/piece. Little did I know that they were playing to tie the cubs for 1st in their division. Every seat in that stadium had great views, no complaints about this stadium on my end.

We ended up leaving in the 6th since we were exhausted, only to find ourselves at the bills bar in Milwaukee. Steny's was on 2nd street and that stretch looked like the best area for bars. It was packed for everyone watching the brewers (go brew crew) but we still got good service and beer.

Overall, I'll say Milwaukee is a very similar city to Buffalo. They have the MLB and NBA while we have the NFL and NHL. There's both good bad areas in the city, but I didn't feel unsafe at any point. I'd go back and explore again for a weekend trip in a heartbeat, props to you Milwaukee

Sunday: Woke up and drove the hr and 45 minutes from Milwaukee to Green Bay. The area is mostly flat, similar to driving from Buffalo to Syracuse. Got up there and ended up finding a house with $15 parking 3 blocks from the stadium. We tailgated there for a bit before heading on in to the stadium.

Tailgating View

Once inside the stadium, we made our way to our seats.

Not a bad view in the stadium in my opinion. All the packers fans around us and that we interacted with were very friendly. They appreciated the bills service in beating the vikings the previous week. We then watched the bills get shutout by rodgers... I'm happy to have gone to Lambeau for the experience and would be glad to go back, Wisconsinites were very hospitable.

After the game was over, we drove 3 1/2 hrs in the rain through the construction back to a hotel by O'hare. We ended up at a panda express, going back to the hotel and crashing around 9pm before flying back Monday morning at 7am.

All in all, it was a great weekend trip. Wish I spent more time in Milwaukee, would highly recommend Lambeau and miller park, and would've loved to go to a bucks game.

I really like Milwaukee. Plenty to eat/drink around Water Street, Third Ward, and Brady Street on the Lower East Side.
