Why Is Golds Always Busy?

I've had more than a few gym memberships over the past couple of decades. American Family was pretty packed on more than a few occasions, Anytime fitness was probably the least packed because it is a 24/7 establishment. Others have less numbers where you don't have to wait in line for a machine.
Golds, however seems to be consistently slammed, and forget about working out during after work hours. Of course, they seem to have the best equipment which is always a plus. I think what is a constant put off is the Jersey Shore feel of the Golds gym membership. I mean when I go there to work out I feel like I'm in an episode of Jersey Shore and I'm in between two muscle bound gym rats feeling they have the need to be validated by comparing they're muscles.

It’s always busy for the exact reasons you mentioned. It’s more of a social environment where people spend about 2+ hours there. Go find a real gym.
