2 big reasons for this IMO: less of us jumping into marriage at a young age after short relationships, and most of us will move in together before marriage.

I'm 27, I have zero interest in getting married before I'm 30 and a lot of people in my age range feel the same. Even people who don't want to wait that long still wait until they finish school and/or become financially stable. I only know a handful of people my age who were married by 21, and that was the norm for our grandparents and still extremely common for our parents.

I also think its huge the fact that it's not taboo among our generation for unmarried couples to live together. I've been in a relationship with a girl I thought I would marry only to move in together and realize it wouldn't have worked out. Most people my age have a similar story, so there's no telling how many marriages that's saved just because we weren't forced by family drama pressure to wait until after the wedding to move in together.
