I had some Air Force Ones custom made because I liked the look, but they gave me debilitating shin splints. They were almost like a skateboard shoe.
Bought some new KDs and can play multiple times a week with no issue.
There definitely is a difference in quality and comfort with basketball shoes.

Good God those AFOs looked so sweet, but like you they absolutely destroyed my shins. Had me walking like an old man

I'll probably try some KDs next. Heard nothing but good things, but the store didn't have any available in my size last time I went shoe shopping
