Nola .. you forgot to mention the ARC rings I have a few sets myself as they are the real deal.

Bright side ... Nola and Kengel gave provide 2 great options for gunsmithing work. Chad Dixon @ Long Rifles has developed a loyal following as his rifles shoot.

Don Geraci built my 17LN (green stock) rifle pictured above and at least a dozen of my other custom rifles. He’s a member of the Benchrest Hall of Fame and his work is meticulous. He builds scary accurate rifles.

Another GS to consider, PacNor. Chris (owner) will take care of you as they produce custom rifle barrels. PacNor will true your action & bolt, fit , chamber, and crown a select match grade s.s. barrel to you action for $625.

Here are some ballpark prices on GS work.
$365 - s.s. select match grade barrel
$300 - fit, chamber, crown barrel
$125-150 - true / blueprint action
$300 - pillar and glass bed stock to action
$550+. - McMillan / Manners stock

Lol I did leave them off. If I'm not cutting ounces, I will always use ARC rings. Hawkins precision ultra-lights if I am.

What barrel should I look for? Or is that something the gunsmith will recommends and order?
