i find the 28ga more of a novelty and not actually logical for the field.

You might be surprised. I have done well with the 28 when used appropriately.

It and the 16 are the only true ‘square loads.’

The 28ga is a pretty sweet shooting gun. It can do a lot more than people think, You don’t need a 12ga and 3 1/2” shells just to kill some birds.
I would love to get in a good timber hole with just 28’s or a Teal shoot.

I want a Benelli ultralite in 28ga
