O doesn’t do anything on D. It’s all Aranda. He never was much of a positIon coach either. Again, who wanted him?

I'm not a big fan of him as the head coach, but the man can coach the defensive line.

Hey I guess you forgot that we are still buying out Miles’ contract....and because of that, we couldn’t get a big name coach to come here for a lesser contract until Miles’ contract is paid out...

Haha that's a good one man.

LSU COULD pay 7+ a year for the right coach. We went cheap.

A championship winning HC is worth every penny

Are you aware that at Ole Miss Orgeron hired a coordinator that didn't run the USC offense which he has repeatedly said he wants to run and then forced that offense in his OC?

Petey is O's idol and mentor. He has said this repeatedly and it's understandable. They had tremendous success there at USC together.

The one heartbeat....tell the truth Monday psychobabble stuff, that's all Pete mantras. And after initially saying upon his hire he wanted to run the spread with a dual threat QB O has since consistently said he wants to run a "USC offense".

My issue is I don't see O as the slick Tony Roberts type that Pete is. He's a d-line coach, that's who he is. And he's trying to be Pete. It seems a round hole, square peg thing to me.

Hope I'm wrong. I do think we beat Miami, I think they are terribly overrated.

Who are you talking about Pete Carroll. You do know how that turned out.

But your evaluation of O has to include the 9-4 LSU record, which some of you refuse to do. It is always about the Ole Miss era, which is irrelevant today. And you can't possibly say that O had the same talent level back then. They asked Mark Richt about playing LSU. First he laughed, then questioned who signed off on that one. Then they asked him what scheme is LSU gonna use. He laughed again, then said, it's not about the scheme it's about the dudes. Then he said that's why we talk about recruiting so much. Then said it's not about the coach it's about the dudes. And they have the dudes. Saban has had the #1 class for about 8-9 years straight. He has the dudes. That last sentence is mine.

When you add in his time at Ole Miss, his year at LSU as HC, and his two interim stints, he STILL has a career losing record as a HC in any form (over 5 years of games)

That doesn't come close to anybody you rejects try to hope to compare him to.

To compare his history to guys like Pete Carroll, Bill Belichick and Nick Saban is asinine on many levels, yet every once in a while y'all keep doing it.

I’m not comparing the coaches themselves mr straw man argument creator...

I’m saying it takes TIME for even the best coaches to build a program...

And I’m supporting my assertion with evidence—Saban lost to ULM in his first year at Bama...at HOME...

Embarrassing, yes....because Bama should never lose to ULM...
