On the top right—the CBS Half-Speed Master (1980).........worth around $450
Err...not exactly. And it wasn't released until 1982.

Those are two current examples with totally different pricing, both in great shape, and you're still claiming that the going rate is more than double of the high one?
And a domestic copy of The Wall would only fetch $12 if it's in bad shape.

Nice. I even see my purchase of Bandwagonesque on white vinyl. Looks like I got a pretty good deal.

Little bit of an attitude there, eh?
Well, you seem to be the authority on this because you went to eBay and got one auction from Europe on an opened copy—good job.
Your second link is a totally different album (WYWH) and it is the reissue from around 2015.
Let’s see now, my SEALED CBS Mastersounds copy (I have 2-one sealed and one opened)(and these numbers are from a website someone posted above, not the real world at audio shows which I attend 3 times a year where hundreds and hundreds of rare LPs change hands) shows $676 for one copy and $577 for another. The opened copies (a few of them) were averaging around $250——so let’s just average those 2 sealed ($626) and then average the sealed and the opened ($250)—- (626+250/2=$438) so my “around $450” is pretty frigging close (and I did this without any websites—I know from experience of buying them). That is at LEAST what a SEALED will fetch at a record/high end audio show.
As for the date of the release, I was off by a couple years...went by memory—-you really showed me there!
As far as the original U.S. pressing, they can be had from $10-$15 in decent condition in many places. I have seen it too many times in numerous cities and record stores.
I have been doing this for 30+ years and have over 6000 LPs.

When most people mention what a collectible record sells for, at the same time they generally mention if that price is for a sealed copy or an opened one.
And by the way, it all depends on what you type when using Popsike, as you can see some different values for sealed copies here:
https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=pink+floyd+wall+half+speed+sealed&thumbs=&currsel=&sortord=&endfrom=&endthru=&ipp=&sdc=&x=0&y=0
And opened copies here:

I'd say you could find a decent condition domestic copy of The Wall for $15 about ten years ago. The market has changed way too much since then, and especially so in the last 5 years. But like anything else, YMMV.
You're not the only person alive who's done this for a long time.

I learned this lesson a few years back when i acquired a mint Sargent Peppers lonely hart band LP. it still had the stickers and post cards on the inside. value less than $100. But i did receive the ultimate Christmas gift from a good friend this year when he bought me Govt Mule Deep end from 2000. Only 1500 copies made in Europe. He was in London and bought it for me at a record shop because he knows i love Mule. I took him to Dave Mathews in Denver this last weekend as a thank you.
