I disagree here. You're not trying to stop someone from 50 ft. away. Most shots you will take in your home will be from 15 ft. away or less, and birdshot will tear up body parts from that distance.
Then you don't have the shot that misses tearing through walls causing damage or harm to others in the house.

Meh....from that distance it's not the spackling work that's a pain in the arse; it's the carpet and dry cleaning that's a pain in the arse
