Twitch ditches ad free viewing for prime members

But you can’t subscribe for free to a twitch streamer. This is very anti consumer. This is probably them realizing that letting people with amazon prime get a premium membership on twitch for no additional cost is costing them money

So twitch turbo is ad free, but no sub, while twitch prime is free sub, but watch ads?

A buddy of mine called it. He said Twitch Prime was just going to be a "free trial" of sorts to get people hooked on certain features and that they'd pull the rug out from everyone and start charging for them again after a while to get people to spend money on features they've grown accustomed to. Looks like it was just a setup to get people to buy Turbo since it really wasn't all that prominent before Prime.

I don't blame twitch. They were taking big hits in ad revenue losses because of amazon free trials. It would have been better to just make the free trials not ad-free but it is what it is.
