Gonna have to win some low scoring games til the offense comes around

The offense was bound to be our weak link at the beginning of the season. Too many changes in personnel and scheme were always gonna hinder the progression of this offense. Good news is that it will get better as the season goes. The younger guys will find their way and the efficiency of the offense will improve. It’s just growing pains. Until then, LSU is gonna have to win some 9-6 type games. As long as we win, who cares about the score! Geaux Tigers! We gonna ride that defense!!

How do you know how the offense is going to look in a real game? You don't. Nor does all the drama queens. Scrimmage not even close to real game.

Our offense will score at least four TDs against Miami.

The defense has always been amongst the best in the country since Aranda came here, but it is expected to be even better this year. What the O is going against is no slouch. According to scrimmage reports WR had an unusual amount of dropped balls that scrimmage. That would indicate an off day by the receivers and not the normal occurrence. Especially with a coach like Sullivan. All indications were that Burrow put the ball where guys could catch it but they had a rough day against that defense and dropped a lot of balls they normally catch. I would not expect 9-6 type games at all. There only a handful of teams with defense even comparable to LSU.

quote:I’m a math guy so I look at things in terms of probabilities. Could the offense come out the first game and light the world on fire? Sure they could, but the probability of that happening is not high bc of the new schemes and players starting in this offense this year. There just hasn’t been enough time for things to come together yet. The offense may be good for Miami, but the probability is low.

So is the probability of you being right about football.

Plus their most experienced and likely best rec didn't even play. Giles. I think Jefferson was limited too. Davis obviously didn't play. That's 3 of their top 4 or 5 through camp.

I'm a math guy too. I say you are full of shite. You don't have a clue how they will look. Will they improve as the season goes on as they get used to one another? Sure. But you are assuming starting at ground zero. Newsflash. Burrow ain't ground zero, neither is Giles. People like chase, sure. Hopefully Davis is back soon.

Dude the left side of our line will be very good. Hell they played most of last year. The right side will be good too. Check out magee last year at rt against Auburn. Guard is strong, and if we get Ingram back, even stronger. Only spot with question is C.

I love the pickup of Burrow and I think that our RBs are going to be decent and our WRs are great. But none of that matters if we can’t get some push from the line.

So we go from pretty good last year to terrible this year, with really the only major change at C? We do need Ingram back, and if he does make it, then we gonna be good to above average OL. That's 4 guys that started multiple games last year, not to mention the addition of Lewis who is said to be ready.
Sorry, I'll save my melt for a real game.
