I read something about Golden Gate Bridge jumpers that survived. The consensus was as soon as they jumped, they regretted it, had an epiphany so to speak.

Here is a video of one guy who survived his suicidal jump from the golden gate bridge...and now realizes how precious life is. He has a book as well.
