Bayou Gauche Question

Friend of mine told me that the canal (50 cent canal) that is straight off from the launch is full of barges. Water has been muddy most of the year in that canal as well. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on and how long it may last?

No. Caught plenty of bass in that canal back in the day.

Its really the only place I fish from April- October. Havent had many bad trips just in that canal.

Last I went in there, there were PVC pipes/poles with ribbons around them all over the place. Much more than normal. Only barge I saw was off in the cut to the right.
That same day, I saw a boat with some Tulane students in a flat boat going in and out. Just figured they were studying something and marking their areas, but guess not
