Me too. I've spent a fair amount of time in WA. Hiking, hopping a ferry and biking some of the islands, white water rafting, kayaking all appeal to me more than a sandy beach and 72 degrees. I guess it's all about personal preference.

Yep, having a mountain cabin or an island cabin to get away is a big plus in that part of the country. Get a boat, go island hopping. Seattle and Vancouver not far away.

I also dig the beaches in the NW though they serve a much different function than in SD.
