For the OP, just from my experience marsh fishing, I have yet to catch a spec (this summer) in the shallower marshes here in SWLA. Reds will always be a go

We were doing very well until last few weeks and Speck fishing has been slow from Perdido to the Marsh since about July 20th for some reason
