The red fish bite was slower last Friday then it has been all summer, the west wind turned the water from relatively clear before to murky that day along the east side marsh shoreline. Water temp was near 90 degrees but salinity is slowly coming up since the Spillway opening.
Specks are hit and miss at the long rocks and Eloi rigs, they're out there but you have to move frequently. Inside specks occasionally are mostly too small to keep, outside we've only caught a limit once this summer.
I'm going to wait until late September to fish this area again, not sure where to go next though lol. It's August and hot out there, by 1100 or so we're done.
