You asked why Alabama didn’t deserve to be in I gave you a reason I think they shouldn’t have been in, nothing more, you don’t have to agree.

Sos is relative.

It is but at least it is objective and something that can be quantified unlike....

The task is to get the 4 best teams in the country into the playoff.

And who are the 4 best teams? What criteria are we using? If it’s simply the “eye test”. Why did we go away from the old MNC and just Play the bowls and declare a NC? “Best” team is not a proven fact, it’s just opinion. That’s why I think they should use objective criteria like winning your conference and SOS.

Was two loss Ohio State more deserving, with their blowout loss to a bad team? One loss Clemson, with a loss to 4-8 Syracuse? Are we just not going to punish a team for losing to a shite opponent because they managed to win their conference?

Ah hear we go with “quality of loss”. Here you are simply using resume when convenient.

quote:

You and the rest of the jealous housewives here hate Alabama, that isn’t enough justification to leave them out of the field when they’re one of the best 4 teams in the country

I actually made the same argument back in 2001 when Nebraska made the BCS CG. And for that matter in 2003 with OU. You and the other insecure Gumps are just making this strawman about jealousy.

You can't force teams to win their division when we have shite conferences/divisions like the Pac 12 and SEC East.

If South Carolina beats Georgia last year you think South Carolina would have deserved a spot in the playoff over Alabama?
