A) the bank can take it back on their own. They do it all the time.

B) if they mess up and you cashed it out, cooperating is the only thing you should do. If you don't cooperate you can be arrested for theft.

While a student at UGA in 93, my bank deposited $600+ in my account. I didn’t spend it because I feared they would be reconciling it as soon as the person who was supposed to receive it called them asking where his money was. They called me within 3 weeks and said they were transferring it to the correct account. I told them I didn’t understand why it was deposited into my account as it just showed up one day. Told them I was waiting to see if it was a bank error and that the money was not spent so just take your fricking money back.
