The response will be tailored to the tournament:
Regular PGA tour events - It was a weak tournament field, of course, not a major
WGC event - Small field
Players Championship- not a major
Any tournament he has won multiple times - He can only win on certain courses
The Masters - weakest major field
The Open Championship- St Andrews isn’t a tough test, he’ll never win a US Open
PGA- PGA shouldn’t be a major
US Open- Pebble doesn’t count , he’ll never catch Jack(this one applies to all events)
