Read something about this in a business class once. Most people go to McDonalds because they are very familiar with the product and they know they'll get the same food in Peoria as they do in Miami.

The live and die by there name and the quality associated with it. They actually have copyright to the prefix Mc not just McDonald’s.
If you try and start a business with mc in front of your name and they decide your Profiting off their image of quality. They can sue you.
