How much did your insurance go up roughly with the additional of the teen? That's coming up for me soon.

Just had my step daughter start driving a couple weeks ago. She has a 2006 Acura RL that was donated to us by some family. The insurance is $300/month. That’s with a bunch of discounts too.

My premium just went up $400 a month total by adding my son's car (and him). The car without him was $100 a month. (added car when he had his permit). My other vehicle premiums went up. Anyone ever buy a separate policy or anything like that to lower cost?

Following two teens each having the inevitable wrecks and a couple of tickets each-
Went from just over $2000 a year to just over $9000 a year.
