Just got approached by one at the light on old Perkins and highland road. I asked him how is work day was going in this heat. I also asked if he makes more money hustling during the summer or winter.

Are you talking about beggars akin to those on College Drive (i.e. the supposed "homeless people")? Or are you referring to the four or so black women who feel the need to don said vests and panhandle at a crowded intersection in a predominantly white section of town?

Seriously, how in the frick is that permitted? Any sort of solicitation that takes place at a major intersection should be shut down immediately.

And, typically, I have no idea what in the hell they're collecting money for in the first place!

Well as long as they have the vest on they are legitimate
