The Banner Saga 3 releases tomorrow

If you're not familiar with the series, it's a tactics game set in a fantasy universe inspired by Norse mythology. There's a survival element too in that you are the leader of a caravan fleeing from an enemy and you are constantly faced with hard decisions while trying to lead a group of survivors. Think Oregon Trail but with Vikings, with FF Tactics turn-based style gameplay. The story changes based on certain decisions you make and they carry over across the entire series.

It has a unique, hand-drawn art style. Very evocative of old Disney cartoons, reminds me of the LotR cartoon. It's almost entirely text-based, I think the only spoken dialogue is in the opening scene of the first game.







If you haven't played any you can pick up the whole trilogy for $40, well worth it IMO
