- install plex
- talk to car and me and others about torrents. if kork is feeling nice he takes it to the next level scraping newsgroups & stuff but thats alot more trouble than just grabbing the occasional torrent
- if you want local tv, follow my guide on here. you'll need a hdhomerun box, plex pass and an antenna. all 3 can be had for under $200 and its well worth it.
- car has some good info that i hadn't paid much attention to regarding codecs & stuff. i just looked for a torrent with lots of seeders and made sure it was 1080p and let it rip. but it seems ther are like 35 different versions of virtually every movie so its nice to understand a little more what the difference is between those 17 1080p rips that have wildly different filesizes.
