New RPO system.

Not even one week ago, Orgeron said, “If you’re thinking about what we’re going to do at LSU, we’re going to be a spread offense mainly from three wide receiver sets, four wide receiver sets, sometimes five.”

What’s your source for LSU running an “RPO system?”

Just listened to his media day interview, that's almost verbatim what he said. At no point did he mention RPO.

From my understanding spread option is a primarily run-dominant offense and O says he wants to be more 50/50. Would seem counterintuitive to force a 50/50 split from a spread option as you're ideally going with what the defense gives you.

"I think we have to put three and four receivers on the field," Ensminger said. "I think we have to be an (run-pass option) team. I think we have to be a more fastball team. I think we have to go no huddle. That's the direction that we're going.

"We can be in three-wide and everything else and still run the football," Ensminger said. "You have to be able to do it all with everything. You can be in three-wide but you still better be able to be physical and run the football and play-action off it and RPO and hit that guy right there and still throw the ball deep.
