Most likely.... she shook/beat/whatever her baby, it died, she panicked, concocted this whole story, burned her baby then called the cops.

If true, she should die a VERY SLOW, VERY PAINFUL death. As soon as possible.

That's my take, too, except for the bolded part. I earlier read somewhere that the child was still alive (barely) when found. Only other scenario I can fathom is revenge: her old man found out the kid wasn't his.

I don't think the baby actually died until it was at the hospital.

Either way...they will autopsy the baby and should be able to see any signs of shaken baby.
