Wet cypress (which all beams this large will be wet) is heavy as shite. I trimmed my 12”x12”

Cypress Depot lists their 12 x 12 cypress beams at 72 lbs. per ft. and they mill them up to 20 ft. long. So that's 1440 lbs. per beam. Not something the average DIY guy can handle without some heavy equipment--------or a hell of a lot of friends.

Higgins on HWY 22 in Maurepas. Coming from Head of Island it will be right before where Val’s Marina was. Bought my front porch header beams and columns from him. Has some fine wood floors also.
