You can always mix and match with his plans. I often do. I try to get speed work in once every other week at least. Instead of doing a mid week 6 miler or something similar, look at a different level and find some speed work that works for you. I do quarter mile intervals (400m) for about 3-4 miles and build up from there.

Got 16 miles in combined this weekend

Probably haven’t ran that much in a whole week in 2 months
