I haven't been back home in L.A in almost a decade, but "race wars" are and have been a major issue between the black and Hispanic communities for decades. My family is from Pacoima in San Fernando Valley in L.A county and my father would tell me stories about bus loads of black kids getting bused up to his middle & high school from down south and all hell breaking loose. Huge group fights. My old man and uncle (Both Mexican/Native) were involved in several of the fights before my grandma moved away to Santa Clarita valley to get them out of the neighborhood after my dad got stabbed (Not in the "race wars", but a separate incident) and almost had to have his arm amputated. She saved their life by getting them tf out of there and forcing them to make something of themselves.

What I'm trying to say is, this doesnt surprise me in the least bit. It's a cold world. Don't ever let anyone tell you racism is a one way/one race street.
