However, I bet he's a superheavy. Good would be high 600's, ballpark 675-700. If that's your squat and DL, you can be competitive. So, again, 605 is ok. It's nothing to scoff at for someone who doesn't lift as their sport. But it's merely ok for a D1 scholarship athlete playing in the trenches in the SEC.
You are correct here. I was on the National Championship powerlifting teams at La Tech in 99 & 2000. One of my teammates, Charr Gahagan, deadlifted 775 while only weighting 198. Yes, that broke the American record, but gives you some perspective. I was 165 lbs at 6’1”, so I had a long pull, but could deadlift 475. 600 lbs is certainly nothing to ever scoff at, no matter what size the athlete is, but yes, it’s not unforeseen that an OL could pull 600.
