It isn’t semantics. The issue of overhead funding for NATO operations is an entirely different issue than Trump’s statement about member states spending 2% of their GDP on their own military budgets. These are entirely, 100% different issues.
And note this. Trump did not suggest that any NATO member has failed to pay its share of operations overhead. He never said it. No one has said that. So y’all trying to talk about operations overhead expense sharing are talking about something that is not part of Trump’s discussion or complaint.
