I’m not up to date on the baseball redshirt rules but if last year doesn’t qualify him for a medical redshirt year then idk what the frick would.
I also don’t think he’ll be back regardless though

I’m not up to date either. A few years ago, the football medical redshirt rule was that the injury had to have happened before the halfway mark of the season and there was something else. Not sure what it is for baseball. Don’t think he would want to go that route tho considering his age would still hurt his stock even with him having another year of eligibility.
