Yup... he does a good job.

Decided on the Fitbit Ionic after reading his review. Should be here soon and I'll give an update in case anyone is interested. I was also heavily considering the Garmin Vivosmart or Vivosport. But the ability to include music and gps won me over.

So I've had it a couple of weeks now, and I like it so far. Notifications are better on the touchscreen than on the Alta's small display. Battery life has been great. We took a short trip last week, so Sunday morning I put it on to fully charge. Saturday morning it was at 14% remaining, so 5 full days and I probably could have stretched that to 6, but I was just making coffee/breakfast and doing a couple of things before going out to cut grass. It went from 14% back to 100% in 1 hour and 50 minutes, so I'm guessing from completely dead it would take 2 hours max. I don't know when it was full, but after that stretch I checked it and it was done.

GPS works great. I ran a few 1 mile stretches with it, my phone's GPS, and on a route I knew was a mile, and they were within a couple hundredths of each other. I haven't loaded any music yet because you have to do that via computer and wifi, but I'll take my laptop home one day and do that.
