And my family was still back in Germany mostly and would remain so for another 100 years.

And yet, as an American born in 1970 and living in 2018, I can look back at how monumental July 4, 1776 was to my ultimate future...and yours.

Someone doesn't want to celebrate it, fine...same goes for any holiday. Talking shite about it as if to do otherwise makes one an Uncle Tom is simply idiotic.

I agree with that statement. Again, I already said I personally celebrate the 4th. I was just explaining why I understand some don't. Plus anyone who would call someone an Uncle Tom for celebrating the 4th is a complete retard.

I just don't understand why when someone says they dislike something about this country, or critiques it in some way. To some that equals them saying I hate America and absolutely everything about the country.
