And if I believe you that he “works his socks off” on the pitch, then his socks must be really, really thick and slow socks. Because, to me, it looked like he was trotting in molasses compared to other players running and pressing.
I was referring to Ings...
And I know he doesn't offer the same things as Firmino... You wont find many that do.. I wouldn't go out and buy Origi, but we have him on our books and he can score goals...

Yeah, I was confused, sorry.

Goals are obviously important. All of our front line and midfield press and tackle and defend (the tackling part might be a little light from Mo, but Firmino and Mane are excellent in that area). Ings does that. Solanke does that.
Origi just can't press and run. He just can't. Now that doesn't mean he doesn't TRY to press and run. I don't question his effort, but he's just not of the size (too big and heavy) and level of fitness to be that kind of player. I would just have to disagree with anyone who believes that he does.
Yeah... system system system blah blah blah etc. But the fact is Klopp *does* use a system and he *does* prefer the 4-3-3 and he *does* prefer that his #9 on top do a lot more things on the pitch than to work himself into position in the box, be fed the ball, and put it in goal. Hell, if that's all we want from our bench #9 I'd rather keep Sturridge than Origi.
(P.S. I don't dislike Origi. Seems like a really great, nice kid. I just happen to believe that he's about as useful as tits on a boar hog.)
