I’m fine with keeping Origi around if we don’t sign a true backup 9. Hell he still managed to score goals when he was here. Unfortunately Ings and Solanke struggled with that. And as many problems as Origi has had despite not living up to his potential, at least he put the ball in the back of the net at a decent rate for a backup

I couldn't disagree more.

Origi was pretty good Klopp's first season until he got hurt. Klopp still hadn't implemented fully his "system" at that point either.

The next season, Origi was pretty bad and a fish out of water. He doesn't have the juice to press and defend like Klopp requires out of his forwards (mainly, I think, because he's too damned big). He's easily as much a cramp in Klopp's system on the pitch as Sturridge is.

We need another forward or wing (or two) that *fits*, not one that requires a change in formation and pace.
