This has been going on specifically at Blu Martini, Eden Roc, LiV and the Seminole hardrock with some regularity for several years. There was a group of 2-3 women in the news last year that did this to half a dozen dudes at Eden Roc. Guy I know at the hardrock was drugged and robbed several months ago.

If you meet a girl and take her back to your place or room at a bar and you have jewelry that is worth a lot or a bunch of cash you hide it when you get back or put it in the hotel room safe. You do not leave it out and you do not leave your drink with a girl you just met. Ever. The ring of women doing this a couple of years ago were European.

I go to the places I just mentioned in south Florida regularly. I do not leave my drink unattended and dont trust women I meet, particularly at those places.
