Guess we should ban video games too, and how about the media and any form of entertainment that promotes violence?

That has nothing to do with his platform and what he represents. He is a hard right wing "journalist" with a following.
And for that matter anyone with a serious platform that isn't entertainment based should never promote violence. It can influence weak willed followers and it's dangerous rhetoric.

Stupid and evil people do things like this and it doesn’t matter if it’s political, religion reasons or just a nut with access to a weapon. This shite will never end. Blame it on this or that but in the end innocent people die.
