For me, I’m not at all worried about how someone else chooses to do those things... until it impedes my ability to get to work or school in my motorized vehicle.

I'm not worried. I said I don't understand riding a bike on a busy road. You mentioned cost, and I'd probably buy a Craigslist beater with a couple hundred bucks in annual liability insurance.
